"We had one of the greatest times of our whole Australia trip with you. We didn't know what to expect when we started our first day as brand new fundraisers. At first it was just working with you all but now there is definitely more. We found a lot of very good friends and they turned to be our family away from home. We'll never forget this amazing time in Melbourne with you guys! We will miss you so much!"
"Hi everyone, my name is Laura, I am from France and I arrived in Australia a couple of months ago. I fell in love with this beautiful country as of day one, and started working as a fundraiser 4 weeks ago. And wow what a journey it has been already. I absolutely love what I do and cannot get enough of it. Being on the field with my team mates, who clearly will be friends for life, inspiring people to jump on board with Save the Children, getting to travel around the country and receiving a pay check at the same time? It simply is the best job I have ever had! Staff drinks, staff dinners, breakfast club, parties. Never have I felt such a powerful energy in a company before. I love TFP".
"Hi I’m Sammy. I originally come from Glasgow in Scotland but I've been living in London for the past few years while i studied at university. I arrived in Australia in November 2014 and I have been working with TFP as a fundraiser in Queensland for 3 months. TFP has been my family in Queensland, the people I work with are so supportive, motivating and make me happy that I found this job. Every morning that I wake up I feel proud that I am making a difference and helping people far less lucky than me. I love meeting people from all different generations and backgrounds and inspiring them to donate to amazing causes. I feel so proud of the work that the charities I represent do. It is the best feeling to get a new regular donator on board and watching them walk away with the biggest smile, knowing that their money is going towards helping so many people".
"My name is Jesica, 23 years old and I was born in Argentina, although I live in Spain. I started fundraising about 5 months ago just because I needed a job...A few days after I fell in love with the people I worked with and with the good feeling of doing something incredible every day. Best thing about TFP? It doesn't even feel like a job, my workmates became my family and that is priceless".
"Working for TFP has been a great experience for me. Not only has it helped me personally by increasing my confidence but it's also allowed me to work alongside an amazing bunch of fundraisers who I look forward to working with every day. Being on the streets of Queensland with TFP I’ve met some wonderful, and sometimes a little crazy, people who have a passion to make a difference and it's been very rewarding for me to help them do that".
"TFP so far has been amazing, working with incredible fundraisers and meeting so many kind hearted people on the streets that really want to make a difference in the world with something as small as 1$ a day. Just makes this job so rewarding".
Kimberley Bowerman
Team Leader from Australia
"Kimba here, I started at TFP in October 2014 and I have had a change of a lifetime. From being scared of strangers to loving every conversation I can get my hands on, I've opened my world up and inspired some amazing people with some beautiful stories. I started off as a newbie, as we all do, working my way quickly up to a fundraiser/solid then becoming a Team Leader which now allows me to help others on their way, by providing quality training and leadership skills but most importantly the gift of inspiration. To have a passion as I do there is no better feeling than being able to turn minds and inspire complete strangers. I have lived in Australia for my whole life but never seen it as much as I have with TFP - by having the opportunity to travel to rural communities and interstate to give everybody the same opportunity to jump on board with the biggest campaigns in Australia. As they say it only gets bigger and better and that's where I'm heading! Kimba over and out :)"
